My house doesn't have natural gas service — can I still get a permanently plumbed fire pit with a dedicated propane tank?
Yes — and here propane is your only option, which is completely normal. There's no natural-gas main up at 3,000 feet in Maggie Valley, so every gas fire feature runs off a dedicated tank. A permanently plumbed pit fed that way works exactly as a natural-gas one would. We run and pressure-test the buried outdoor-rated line; your propane supplier owns and fills the tank.

At better than 3,000 feet, Maggie Valley is propane country top to bottom — the cabins and homes along Soco Road, Jonathan Creek, and Dellwood all run on tanks. A permanent, tank-fed pit is simply the way it's done here, and if you already keep propane for heat, we can often plumb the pit off that same tank rather than set another.

The tank belongs to your propane supplier; the regulator, buried run, and burner are our licensed gas work — a mason legally can't connect it in North Carolina.
