Where do I get replacement parts for a Dimplex electric fireplace, like flame motors or remotes?

Start with your model and serial number

Every part order begins with the model and serial number. On most Dimplex units that's on a rating label behind the lower louver, on the back panel, or inside the firebox. Snap a clear photo of it before you call anyone — it saves a lot of back-and-forth, because the same product family can span several revisions and the part that fits an older build isn't always the one that fits a newer one.

Flame motors (on Optiflame units) and handheld remotes are the two most common wear items, and both are model-specific. Guessing at a 'universal' one usually means ordering the wrong thing twice. Opti-myst units add their own quirks — the ultrasonic discs that make the water vapor and the reservoir are consumable parts that need the exact match.

Genuine parts through the right channel

Because Dimplex sells dealer-direct, real replacement parts route through Glen Dimplex Americas' service network rather than a big-box aisle. A generic aftermarket remote will sometimes pair, but flame motors, control boards, heater elements, and Opti-myst components should be OEM so they fit the housing and stay within the unit's electrical spec.

There's a repair-versus-replace line worth knowing, too. On an older or lower-cost unit, a discontinued control board can cost more than the fireplace is worth, and we'll tell you that straight rather than chase a dead end. On a current IgniteXL or Revillusion, the parts are in the pipeline and the fix is usually the right call.
