Arden's 1980s and 90s homes in Skyland and Royal Pines were built with open masonry fireplaces that pull heat out of a room rather than into it. A lot of owners fixed that by adding a sealed Heat & Glo insert — and when those need parts or glass, the parts belong to the insert, keyed to its model and serial number, not the original masonry around it.
