Flat Rock's homes date to the 1800s, with oversized open masonry fireplaces and aging clay flue liners. A lot of owners tamed those cold, drafty hearths by dropping a sealed Heat & Glo insert into the opening — and when parts or glass are needed, they belong to that insert, not the old chimney.

The serial number tells us the exact front, glass, and gasket the insert shipped with, which matters most when the model is a few years old and the original open firebox around it is a century older. We source the OEM parts from the factory to match.

Sealed glass is the whole point of the retrofit

The reason a sealed insert fixed the draft in the first place is that its glass front closes the combustion system off from the room — the old open hearth pulled cold air and heat right up the flue. If that glass cracks or the gasket fails, the seal that made the fireplace efficient is gone.

So we replace it with the factory ceramic and gasket, seated correctly, rather than a generic pane cut to fit — a hardware-store sheet won't hold the seal a direct-vent unit depends on.
