Rebuilds and storm-damaged units

The storm recovery in Swannanoa raised demand for new fireplaces in rebuilt homes, and it also left existing units needing work — water and debris don't spare a gas valve, blower, or igniter. Where a component was compromised we replace it OEM rather than patch it, and we match every piece to the unit's model and serial number so the sealed system goes back together the way it should.

Grovemont's older 1940s-to-60s housing, where many original masonry fireboxes still stand, is a big part of that work, whether it's a new insert or parts for one already there.

River-valley damp doesn't quit

Swannanoa's river-valley fog, cold-air pooling, and damp air are hard on masonry chimneys and on the metal inside a fireplace alike — gaskets, springs, and valve bodies age faster in this valley. A glass that fogs or a gasket that won't seal is common.

On a direct-vent Heat & Glo the front glass is a combustion part, holding byproducts out of the room, so we fit the factory ceramic and matching gasket to hold the seal, not a generic pane cut to size.

Being 15 minutes out, our techs carry common Heat & Glo parts on the truck and close most glass and blower jobs in one visit.
