Will the installers remove and haul away my old fireplace or stove?
Yes — for Black Mountain and Montreat replacements, removing and hauling off the old fireplace or stove is part of the install. We disconnect and cap the gas line the licensed way, work the old insert, stove, or firebox loose, and carry it out. Being just fifteen minutes east of our Emma Rd showroom, that old unit is off your property fast.
Cold valley, damp hollows
The Swannanoa Valley runs cold — morning temperature inversions leave Black Mountain ten to fifteen degrees below Asheville — and up in Montreat the heavily wooded lots keep houses shaded, cool, and moisture-prone, which is hard on older units and their flues. When we replace one, the natural-gas line gets shut off and capped before the appliance moves; that's licensed work in North Carolina and the reason removal and installation stay with one crew rather than getting stitched across a showroom and a handyman.
Short run back to the shop
This is one of our most-served corners of Buncombe County, and at fifteen minutes out, the removal is easy: the old appliance and the demo debris load onto the truck and head straight back toward Emma Rd — no heavy metal box parked in your garage waiting on a disposal run. For the new install we pull the county permit and meet the inspector. The lone exception is a true masonry teardown, where the brick structure itself comes out; that's a mason's job, and we'll tell you before the work starts.
If you'd like to keep it
A sound old stove is worth keeping or passing down, and plenty of folks here do. Say so before install day and we'll set it aside clean instead of hauling it off. Call (828) 545-0525 to go over your replacement.
