Many Backgrounds. One Standard.

What does the whole process look like from showroom visit to finished installation?

Five steps: visit our Asheville showroom or book a free in-home assessment, get a written quote, place a deposit so we order your appliance and pull the county permit, then we install — most gas jobs in a day, wood and chimney work in two to three — and finish by walking you through how to operate it before we leave.

Start: see it, then let us see the space

Most people begin at our showroom at 629 Emma Rd, where fireplaces are displayed and lit so you can judge flame, heat, and presence in person. From there — or instead of it — we schedule a free in-home assessment to measure your room, check the gas and venting, and understand what your space allows.

That visit turns into a written quote covering the appliance, venting, gas line, permit, labor, and removal of any old unit. No pressure, no upselling — we'd rather land you on the right appliance than the priciest one.

Order and permit

Once you approve the quote and place a deposit, two things start moving. We order your specific appliance from the manufacturer — Napoleon, Heat & Glo, Kozy Heat, Valor, whichever fits your home — and we pull the permit with your county, whether that's Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, or Transylvania.

How long the appliance takes depends on the model and the season; some are quick, some run on backorder in peak months. This is the stretch to plan around if you want heat in before winter, so it pays to commit early rather than in the first cold snap.

Install day and the walkthrough

On install day we protect your floors, run and pressure-test the gas line, set the appliance and venting, and clean up after ourselves. Most gas installs wrap in a single day; wood-burning and chimney jobs usually take two to three. The county inspector signs off on the gas work.

Before we leave, we light it with you and show you how to run it — ignition, controls, and what's normal for the first few burns. Every install is backed by the manufacturer's warranty plus our workmanship guarantee. Call (828) 545-0525 to start.
